AUTOLOOP at Ecomondo 2026, Rimini

Published on: 2026-11-03

AUTOLOOP is taking part in the 2026 edition of Ecomondo in Rimini, represented by project partner John Twitchen of Stuff4Life.

Ecomondo is an international meeting point for people working on the green and circular economy. Businesses, institutions, researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders come together there to discuss the strategies, technologies and solutions that are reshaping European environmental policy.

Textiles are an important part of that agenda. Extended Producer Responsibility for textiles is now mandatory across the EU, and the Digital Product Passport is on its way. At the same time, separately collected textiles are increasingly outpacing the capacity available to sort and recycle them. AUTOLOOP is developing an integrated response built on four pillars:

  • AI-powered sorting of post-consumer textiles using hyperspectral and NIR technologies
  • Pollutant-resistant chemical recycling for fibre-to-fibre recovery
  • Additive tracing of material composition and provenance
  • TEXroad Circularity Data Hub, a Digital Product Passport-compatible data infrastructure

Ecomondo gives AUTOLOOP an opportunity to share its progress with a broad circular economy audience and to connect with stakeholders across the value chain.
